The Great Bear

from The Great Bear by Versicolor

lyrics

Light passes through the trees, but if We're painted black the sun can't collect our steam.
And we'll never be the ones to alter anything, because the world doesn't spin for us
We're forever strung along, in its cyclical arraignment that curls us up

We are not the root we are the leaves, changing colors over time, when "The Great Bear" bleeds we turn.

We pose for pictures but the flash never bounces back.
And we lift each others cloths, to find out how we're wired inside and out. But we'll look cadaverous once the atrophy starts to show

We're still mindlessly ghosting through the streets,
absorbing whispers that secrete through the speakers of T.V's.
"Who's that lurking on the lawn?" another dead eyed bag of bones.

With shuffling feet and serrated razor teeth, he scurries from his hole. I once had control but there's no time for questions, there's only one second left.

(With two legs crouching he's getting closer, as sweat drips from his forehead to the ground. I once had control, but there's no time for questions there's only one second left)
